Which, showcase ideas of screen notification, geo-fencing where app triangulates current position to nearby parking garages. Furthermore, developing idea of chat feature for the user. Lastly, you'll see final High Fidelity task flow.

SpotHero Site Map

Began problem solving for Spot Hero by analyzing the site map. Point of emphasis was to simplify it the further along, into research and insights for the user. The site map became more cohesive with each iteration.

Research

Before the wireframes and revised site map, we conducted research via Google trends and competitor's analysis. These methods of data accumulation helped identify area's of need for Spot Hero app. Highlighting different demographics in a variety of scenarios users are experiencing to find parking.

Target Segmentation

After gathering research data took the next step identifying the target segmentation. Vital to properly diagnose the type of user we're trying to create new features for and began with working millennials. Afterwards, created pathways for behavior and occasioned based lifestyle decisions.

Empathy Interviews

We interviewed 9 people from different demographics ages 25 - 40 via Zoom. These insights gave us valuable information regarding, day to day pains for commuters who drive.

Insights from our fellow drivers:

"There is no parking near school. I have to park further away and I end up arriving late to class."

"Street parking isn't always the safest. If I could, I would use a garage more often."

"If I cannot find parking. I will park illegally and sleep in my car"

Affinity Map

After concluding empathy interviews we created an affinity map. Allowed us to organized ideas into their natural relationships.

Persona

After finalizing affinity map I began creating a persona, which lead towards empathy and journey maps. These insights provided greater clarity for pains design feature should be able to address.
